7. Brian Lee - SummerSlam 1994
When Brian Lee was contacted by WWF officials to be part of the main event of SummerSlam, it was likely the best news of his fledgling career. However, the revelation that he would play a faux version of The Undertaker was surely an immediate buzzkill.
Nevertheless, Lee took the gig and Brian Lee became The Undertaker's doppelganger (affectionately rechristened since as The Underfaker). A member of Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation, The Underfaker was DiBiase's attempt to convince the world that he had secured the services of the absent Undertaker - proving, once again, that everyone has a price.
The angle led directly to the SummerSlam main event and saw Lee square off with the real Undertaker. In what was sadly a disappointing climax to the angle, 'Taker pinned Lee after several Tombstone Piledrivers, before Bearer's druids rolled Lee into a casket, leaving him to rest in peace.
While it was believed that Lee would continue the role as Underfaker post-SummerSlam, the storyline was dropped immediately after the event and Lee found a new home in ECW. He didn't reappear in WWF until 1997, when he returned as Chainz of the Disciples of Apocalypse stable, alongside Crush and his real-life cousins, The Harris Brothers.
