During the second coming of D-Generation X in 2006, a number of promising young superstars found themselves on the wrong end of the W column when they stepped in the ring with Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Most notably, The Spirit Squad saw their WWE careers virtually killed altogether at the hands of the degenerates and the return of DX in 2009 raised similar worries among fans and workers alike.

Nevertheless, those fears were unfounded and their second return saw the veterans feud with Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr - collectively known as The Legacy - for a number of months. With DX winning at SummerSlam and Legacy winning at Breaking Point, the feud called for a rubber match at Hell in a Cell 2009.

At just 24 and 26 respectively, Rhodes and DiBiase surprisingly headlined the PPV when they faced DX inside the Hell in a Cell structure. With great psychology, non-stop action and enough violence and high impact spots to do the cell justice, the match turned out to be one of the better cell matches of the last decade.

Despite a great showing, it was the only PPV Rhodes and DiBiase would ever headline. Should Rhodes return, it likely won't be his last.
