10 Most Totally Random WWE Matches Ever

6. WALTER Vs. R-Truth - House Show (2019)

Chad Gable Shane McMahon

A terrifying glimpse into WALTER's future, the incredibly serious and po-faced professional wrestler worked a very bizarre choice of opponent at a UK house show last year.

WALTER doesn't do comedy. The ring is sacred to him. He leathers the ever-living sh*t out of his opponents and caves their damn chests in to enhance his monstrous aura. It is a bad idea to situate WALTER in a comedic context because the very presence of a funnyman can only illuminate the notion by contrast that he's on a knife-edge of parody.

WWE illuminated the notion by contrast that he's on the knife-edge of parody by having him work R-Truth on a Bournemouth house show.

No footage exists of the match, mercifully, fun as it might have been in a warped way. Maybe it was a night off for Pete Dunne, who was WALTER's go-to opponent on the loop. Or maybe, just maybe, Vince McMahon had caught wind of this pure wrestler, decided he would better function as a dancing fella, and ordered a trial run. You see, it is funnier when people dance who ordinarily would not.

WALTER won, at least, and wasn't buried like he was at that year's Survivor Series.

R-Truth presumably prodded the giant, hightailed it around the ring, only for WALTER to complain that he was too full of chocolate.
