10 Most Uncanny Predictions Ever Made About Wrestling
2. Reddit User Correctly Predicts Every WWE PPV Result For Years
Well, not every correct result, but in the early-to-mid-2010s, r/SquaredCircle Reddit poster Dolphins1925, who claimed that he was provided inside information from a "mole" within WWE, had a not unremarkable record for their spoilers. Now, this was quite easily bullsh*tted.
"The mole is telling me, and hold on to your d*cks here lads, John Cena is winning this one".
Anybody could have written that and appeared somewhat smart, even Road Dogg, but Dolphins1925 - on both the forum and his now inactive Twitter page - was eerily accurate more often than not, and even provided additional context to his intel. For example, ahead of Payback 2013, he was told that "Del Rio/Dolph sounds like a bizarre match from the information I've received", and it was; no regulation back-and-forth, it played with Ziggler's recent concussion to facilitate a rare intra-match double turn. Their activity was useful, in that it's the hope that kills you. Surely WWE couldn't f*ck you again after the 2015 Royal Rumble?
They sure could; as Dolphins1925 warned you in advance, Roman Reigns went over Daniel Bryan at Fastlane.
His record was not perfect - he predicted that Evolution would go over the Shield at Extreme Rules 2014 in what may well have been pure "Triple H isn't doing two PPV jobs in a row, f*ck it" guesswork - and he had a total 'mare at WrestleMania XXX. He scorched the earth with his "source" in what was a desperate (and pathetic) bid to save face.
So maybe his predictions weren't uncanny, and WWE was simply that predictable.
