10 Most Uncharismatic WWE World Champions Of The Last 20 Years

9. Yokozuna

As intriguing as it was watching a behemoth move around the ring, Yokozuna's character had very little backbone to it. Aside from being a mammoth of a human being that was surprisingly agile - at least for his size - the interest Yokozuna generated certainly didn't come from his personality.

It may be harsh, but you could easily argue that Yokozuna's main event success had nothing to do with him being talented. In fact, the major feuds early in his career were buoyed by the quality of his opponents, and Mr Fuji and Jim Cornette carrying him (obviously figuratively) on their backs.

Forgetting the debacle that was WrestleMania IX, Hulk Hogan eventually did all he could to make Yokozuna a made man. Coupled with ongoing battles with Bret Hart and his rivalry with The Undertaker, it wasn't difficult for Yokozuna to stand out on the back of victories over quality opponents alone.

It's clear to see looking back that when it was up to Yokozuna to play larger roles in feuds against the likes of "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Lex Luger, he did not have the charisma to succeed as a standout main eventer. As such, he slid down the card and continued to gain weight, removing himself from the championship scene.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
