7. Vs. Rob Van Dam And Kurt Angle (WWF No Mercy 2001)

Triple Threat encounters can sometimes feel a little disjointed. More often than not, they boil down to extended rest periods for one star, whilst the others hold fort inside the ring. Admittedly, there were periods of that during the main event of No Mercy 2001, but they didn't detract from the action. This bout was for the WWF Title, and featured a battle between the WWF (Angle), WCW (Austin), and ECW (Van Dam). Of course, this took place shortly before the entire 'Invasion' angle was abolished at the Survivor Series. The story may have been a bust, but some of the matches during that particular period are very worth seeking out. This 3-way stormer is one of them, and remains some of Austin's very best in-ring work.
