10 Most Under-Rated Wrestlers 2015

2. 'King' Barrett

Traditionally, the 'King Of The Ring' title was supposed to elevate wrestlers beyond their current standing. The exact opposite happened with Wade Barrett in 2015, the 'King' moniker turned him into a comedy act with absolutely zero upward mobility. Even now, as part of the League Of Nations, he's treated as one of the weak links of the group. For someone WWE viewed as having endless headline potential years ago, that's a crying shame. During the first season of NXT in 2010, Barrett was the man hand-picked by officials as the one who had the best chance of making it. 2015 has not reflected that at all, the Englishman has struggled to be anything other than a waste of air time. Crucially, that's not his fault. Barrett is very well-spoken, his voice lends itself well to WWE's style of promos. Between the ropes, he's also an excellent brawler. This should add together to make him easy to push, but WWE somehow find that difficult to do. Instead of being mired in a rotten gimmick, Barrett should have been presented in a manner befitting him. He has so much more to offer WWE, but they seem to overlook that in favour of keeping him low down on the pecking order.
