10 Most Underrated Wrestlers In The World Today

7. WALTER

An imposing figure at 6'4" and 310lbs, wXw's WALTER is as burly and powerful as they come, but he refuses to conform to standard "big man" tropes. WALTER's technique is superb, and he can go hold-for-hold with anyone when it comes to chain wrestling. Furthermore, his surprising light-footedness makes him a fully three-dimensional worker, and one of the most complete wrestlers in the world.

Versatility aside, WALTER's presence might be his most impressive attribute. He's the kind of guy who wrestles like a 25-year veteran, but he's not even 30 yet, and he has a long track record of dragging great matches out of lesser opposition.

Currently in the midst of perhaps the strongest year of his career, WALTER is about to explode. He recently captured PROGRESS' Atlas Championship from Matt Riddle, and will debut in PWG's Battle Of Los Angeles tournament next month.

This should mean his talents finally earning the recognition they deserve, but don't expect WALTER to depart Germany anytime soon. Not only is he one of wXw's top stars, but he runs the company's training school, and has made it his goal to stick around and raise European wrestling standards rather than run off to a big contract in the USA or Japan.
