10 Most Underrated Wrestlers In The World Today

6. Luke Harper

The past few months have been rough for Luke Harper, who looked like he was on the verge of finally breaking out earlier in the year. He was excellent as the middle man in Bray Wyatt's feud with Randy Orton, but WWE failed to capitalise on the major face pops he was receiving in spring, and he has since disappeared from television. Harper has wrestled just four matches since April, and while a wrestler with half his in-ring ability currently holds the WWE Championship, Luke is stuck on house shows.

This sucks, because Harper is one of the best heavyweights on the roster. Blending speed and agility with Bruiser Brody-esque brawling, quiet charisma, and pure, raw-boned power, Luke is a tremendously well rounded competitor, and the only reason he doesn't get more recognition is the lack of major singles opportunities afforded to him throughout his career.

Harper was responsible for the best match of Orton's dismal 2017 at Elimination Chamber, and even made the cumbersome Erick Rowan look serviceable at Backlash. He's the kind of multi-talented mauler who can get over on the strength of his ring work alone, but a push looks increasingly unlikely within WWE's soap opera environment.
