10 Most Underrated Wrestlers In WWE Today

2. Alberto Del Rio

A big portion of WWE fans have long grown sick of the sight of Alberto Del Rio, and justifiably so. The two-time WWE Champion has been treading an aimless path for a few years, and his own performances and enthusiasm have declined in-line with his dwindling push.

When Del Rio is on his game, however, he’s among the best in the world. Look to his work with Dolph Ziggler, Christian, and John Cena as examples, or his brief stints with Lucha Underground and Mexico’s AAA during his recent WWE sabbatical. Del Rio’s unfortunate propensity to switch off and “phone it in” makes it all too easy to forgot how good he was at the peak of his powers.

The Brand Split might be exactly what he needs. As with Rusev and Sheamus, the ill-fated League of Nations did nothing but hamper his momentum, and the repetitive Kalisto feud that followed killed what was left. Del Rio is in dire need of a fresh start, and next week’s draft can provide just that.
