10 Most Underrated WWE Feuds Of The Attitude Era
3. Mick Foley Vs. Triple H
It's obvious why people remember Mick Foley's long-running rivalry with The Undertaker above all else: It's the feud that made him a legend. And if pressed for a runner-up feud from his WWE career, most would choose his work with The Rock. What gets very little praise these days is his excellent rivalry against Triple H.
Kicking off at the 1997 King of the Ring, both men were still a couple years away from headlining programs. Hunter was still trying to secure his footing after the Curtain Call debacle, and Mick Foley was a year away from becoming a legend in his Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker.
But this feud accomplished two major things: It reintroduced Cactus Jack to mainstream audiences and it propelled Triple H into his role in DX.
Speaking of Cactus Jack, who can forget that amazing taped segment on Raw where all three Faces of Foley manifested themselves on screen at the same time? This happened to be right before his and Hunter's incredibly entertaining Falls Count Anywhere match, one of three classic matches the two had together.
The other two would come years later, when Triple H beat Foley for the WWE Championship and reinvigorated their feud. And they were doozies: A brutal, bloody Street Fight at Royal Rumble 2000 and an even bloodier Hell in a Cell match at No Way Out, which "officially" ended Foley's career.
