10 Most Underrated WWE Feuds Of The Attitude Era
2. Chris Jericho Vs. Chris Benoit
The first mass exodus of performers from WCW over to WWE started because a bunch of relatively unproven guys felt like they weren't given their fair shake by Eric Bischoff. It's a little unfortunate, then, that two of those WCW transplants were involved in one of the most underrated rivalries of the Attitude Era during their first year with the company.
After Jericho's initial burst out of the gate - going toe-to-toe with The Rock - he was relegated to the back-burner in a soulless feud with Chyna.
Enter Chris Benoit, who was currently involved in a higher-profile feud with (you guessed it!) The Rock for the WWE Championship. You could say the two WCW exports "met in the middle" for the most overlooked rivalry of 2000.
Every match they put on during this time period was solid gold. They wrestled at least two 5-star matches together, including a Submission Match at Judgment Day 2000 and a truly dazzling Ladder Match at the 2001 Royal Rumble - where Jericho famously locked in the Walls of Jericho atop the ladder.
The matches were consistently awesome, and Jericho had enough charisma and personality to make up for Benoit's general dearth of it when it came time to deliver the goods outside of the ring.
