10 Most Underrated WWE Ladder Matches Ever

2. Money In The Bank 2 (WrestleMania 22)

The first Money in the Bank ladder match is obviously talked about quite a lot. It was, after all, the first one and spawned a tradition and even its own pay-per-view. The first one was very memorable and featured a breakout performance from Shelton Benjamin and the beginning of Edge's rise to the top of the mountain. The second Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania 22 has not enjoyed the same reputation but deserves a lot of kudos. Shelton Benjamin had another sterling performance, a geriatric Ric Flair took a mammoth superplex and over crazy bumps off the ladder and Rob Van Dam won, signalling his imminent arrival in the main event. Bobby Lashley (remember him?), Matt Hardy and Finlay also played their part and provided plenty of entertainment and took the requisite punishment for the cause. Sequels often pale in comparison to the original but the second Money in the Bank match stands as a great match in its own right. This is especially impressive considering that two of the participants (Flair and Finlay) had a combined age of over 100! The ladder match is not just a young man's game.
