1. Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro vs. Tyson Kidd - Triple Threat Elimination Match For The Intercontinental Championship (SmackDown; November 14, 2014)
After announcing his intentions to join Team Cena at Survivor Series, The Authority did everything in their power to make life miserable for Dolph Ziggler. They forced him to defend his Intercontinental Championship on a near weekly basis against a variety of Superstars. From Seth Rollins to Mark Henry to Kane, everyone that was in their good graces was seemingly getting shots at the gold. But Ziggler's toughest challenge to date came in a Triple Threat match against Cesaro and Tyson Kidd on the November 14 edition of SmackDown. It wasn't any ordinary Triple Threat match, either. It was held under elimination-style rules. What happens when you put three of the most underutilized workers in one match? You get an absolute masterpiece. Remember, this match occurred on a random episode of SmackDown with very little prior hype. With so many people skipping out on SmackDown these days, there was a considerable portion of the audience that had no idea this match even happened. And they really missed out. All three competitors went through their entire arsenal in an attempt to walk away with the gold, but none of them could secure victory. They were all so evenly matched. The best part was that the show that night emanated from England, a crowd that appreciates real wrestling. They let them know it, too. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2ad58t_dolph-ziggler-vs-cesaro-vs-tyson-kidd-triple-threat-ic-championship-match-wwe-smackdown-14-11-2014_sport The biggest shocker of the match came when Kidd picked up Ziggler's scraps and eliminated Cesaro. When it came down to Kidd and Ziggler, Kidd gave the bleached-blonde Superstar the fight of his life. But Ziggler refused to succumb to defeat. Following a strong showing, Kidd ultimately came up short in capturing the title. It's amazing only Ziggler has since gotten his due in the form of a major singles push. Cesaro and Kidd have formed a tag team shortly thereafter, but if this highly underrated match was any indication, they are capable of so much more in WWE.
