10 Most Underrated WWE Matches Of 2014

4. Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks - NXT Women's Championship (NXT Takeover: R Evolution)

This was another case of a great match being overlooked in favor of everything else on the show. NXT Takeover: R Evolution was arguably NXT's strongest live special to date. It was a stellar show from start to finish. There was basically nothing to complain about. Sami Zayn's NXT Championship victory and Finn Balor bringing back his old body paint made for moments that will not soon be forgotten. But the show also saw two tremendously talented women's wrestlers Charlotte and Sasha Banks have one of the best women's matches of the year. Charlotte and Banks have history dating back to their time in the BFFs stable together. Animosity grew between them after Charlotte broke off on her own and won the NXT Women's Championship. After undergoing a babyface turn, Charlotte feuded with Banks going into the latest live special, setting the stage for their championship match. There was a major possibility that Banks was walking out with the gold, so the outcome wasn't predictable in the slightest. Not only did they tell a solid story, the in-ring action was off the charts. Charlotte landing on her feet after executing a moonsault and turning that into a front flip is a move that's still being talked about today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cD09wsaVaec The execution of her Natural Selection finishing maneuver off the top rope was picture perfect and it earned her the win. The Divas locker room (or more specifically, the main roster writing team) could take some notes.
