10 Most Underrated WWE Promos From The Last Decade
2. Brock Lesnar Calmly Discusses Roman Reigns
Forget what you may believe about Brock Lesnar being little more than a suplexing machine that relies on Paul Heyman to get him over. Lesnar has partaken in a number of enjoyable verbal battles over the years, pvoving he is no slouch on the mic. If you missed out on the feud between Lesnar and Eddie Guerrero in early 2004, do yourself and favour and go back to relive it from start to finish. It will erase any doubt about Lesnar being a subpar stick man. Getting the opportunity to fight in the UFC, where a cocky attitude is practically essential, allowed Lesnar to not only build what turned out to be some serious credibility once he returned to WWE in 2012, but a mean approach to physical competition that can only be picked up in a sport as physical as mixed martial arts. Of course, Lesnar is always going to be a much more entertaining and engaging character with Paul Heyman as his mouthpiece and their chemistry together is undisputed. But having Lesnar deliver an eerily calm promo ahead of his WrestleMania 31 match with Roman Reigns was nothing short of brilliant, even if it was prerecorded. The promo wasn't received as well as it would have been in just about any other situation, given that it looked blatantly obvious that Reigns was destined to beat Lesnar no matter what was said. Had that not appeared to be the case, this may well have gone down as one of the realest promos ever. Nevertheless, it's damn cool looking back a year later and watching Lesnar intimidatingly explain how things are and how they will continue to be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amOMUNq27m8
Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
