10 Most Underrated WWE WrestleMania Matches Ever
6. JBL vs Finlay - WrestleMania XXIV
What exactly is a Belfast Brawl? Well, no one quite knows for sure, but the important thing is it entails two of WWE’s hard men absolutely battering each other for eight and a half minutes, and to that end, it makes for good viewing.
White Finlay and JBL make an unlikely pairing to open up a WrestleMania, the 24th edition of the grand show was one that featured a little bit of everything, and there can’t be many surer ways to get a crowd straight onside than something like this hardcore bout. You don’t need to know anything about the characters, their storylines, wants, desires, or anything like that.
Instead, simply sit back and enjoy two brutes cracking each other with weapons, and for no real reason JBL hurling a trash can at poor old Hornswoggle, who was only there to support his pal/dad Finlay.
The two veterans knew precisely what they were doing here and milked as much as they could out of the time on offer. Silly, reckless fun just like wrestling should be.
