Even though WWE doesn't really have an off-season, so to speak, the company definitely saves the best matches and angles for WrestleMania. The general idea is that 'Mania almost acts as an end-of-season finale, after which the soft 'reset' button is pushed, and things go off on a tangent for around 6 months or so, before the end of the year inevitably brings talk of the big event back around. On one hand, WrestleMania is the ideal time to switch title belts - the event feels massive when major titles are at stake, even more so when fans get that groundbreaking moment, seeing their favourite babyface or most-hated heel capture gold. Yes, 'Mania title changes should feel big, because the show is the largest on the calendar, but there are occasions during which the atmosphere falls a little flat.
