8. Mike Graham Shakes His Head At Jeff Jarrett's Drawing Ability

Jeff Jarrett is never appreciated as the fantastic midcard act he was because he himself bristled at the notion.

He had ideas above his S T, haha, A T I O N and is doomed to be haunted forevermore by his ambition - or his hubris, depending on how nice you'd like to be about it.

Before he and WWE were on the decent terms they are now, Vince McMahon decided to be not very nice at all. WWE, revising history through its own biased lens, brutalised Double J like the Ultimate Warrior before him with the DVD hatchet-job treatment.

According to the Rise and Fall of WCW, the promotion was good for three months before the nWo recruited too many numbers. Jarrett's ego trip was prioritised far too much as a core issue that killed the promotion, but the inaccuracy didn't much matter because at least we got one hell of a promo out of it. WCW road agent Mike Graham was given the task of burying the guy, and it was unforgettable in its poetry.

"He drew 6,000 guitars and never drew a dime."

The specificity of the number here was great, because it buried the dumb excess of the spot and implied that Jarrett didn't even draw $6,000.
