10 Movie Moments That Pissed Off Fans The Most In 2019

8. Marwan Kenzari's Terrible Jafar - Aladdin

Though Aladdin fans were certainly left frustrated by the live-action remake's piecemeal treatment of Iago (Alan Tudyk), by far the movie's most complained-about aspect was the utter miscasting of the villainous Jafar (Marwan Kenzari).

Somewhat understandably, director Guy Ritchie made the choice to reimagine Jafar as a more down-to-Earth, seductive charmer, rather than the hammy mustache-twirler he was in the animated version.

Except, where's the charm?

Kenzari's Jafar isn't charismatic, interesting, or even basically physically imposing, and no, he doesn't turn into a giant snake at the end either. As much as the film nailed Genie (Will Smith) and Jasmine (Naomi Scott), Jafar was a total dud.

If nothing else, it compounded the feeling that Disney fans should probably just stick with the original.
