10 Movies Starring Wrestlers In 2016

9. Boone: The Bounty Hunter

Hey, it wouldn't be an article on upcoming films featuring wrestlers without an appearance by The Shaman of Sexy, John Morrison (now Johnny Mundo). The Lucha Underground star had a banner 2015 on the silver screen, having starred in Russell Madness, where he was defeated by a high-flying Jack Russell dog. Boone: The Bounty Hunter is Morrison's latest big screen adventure, with him playing the title role. According to the IMDb, the film's plot is: When fame-seeking reality show bounty hunter, Boone, attempts to bring down a drug lord and his empire, he uncovers more than he bargains for and learns that justice means more than ratings. Justice means more than ratings? Not to Vince McMahon, they don't, but I digress... Morrison may be the lead (and looks every bit the Z-list action star in on-set pictures) but he's being helped out by some veteran talent, including Richard Tyson, Jonathan Lipnicki (the kid from Stuart Little, except not little anymore) and...Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson? Sure, why not. It's a film where Johnny Nitro brings down a drug empire. I'll accept that the former UFC man has a part to play. Keep an eye out for this one on Netflix later in the year. It could be so-bad-it's-amazing or I could end up looking like a damn fool when it's nominated for twelve Oscars.
