9. Drago Vs. Aero Star Vs. Fenix (lead Up To Aztec Warfare 3)
By season three, Drago and Aero Star had buried their long-time rivalry and forged a formidable trios team with former LU champ Fenix. As a Super Friends-style group of faces, the team nicely balanced humor, skill, and high-flying to create the most fluid trios team in the promotion.
Naturally, promoter Dario Cueto saw an opportunity to cause strife in the ring and seized it, pitting the teammates against each other with the #20 spot in Aztec Warfare on the line. Not only that, but the two men who didn't win would be excluded from Aztec Warfare entirely.
The match was a delight for fans of flippy sh*t, but also foreshadowed Drago's inevitable betrayal nicely, promising strong confrontations between the luchadors down the line.
This was not only a kick-ass match, but the first step toward the team's implosion.
