This was the first match that really elevated Marty as a proper threat in the ring, and not just a creepy b*stard leering at Melissa Santos or kidnapping Sexy Star.

This brutal anything-goes bout helped solidify both Marty and Killshot as worthwhile competitors, pitting Killshot's laser-precise strikes and lanky speed against Marty's prodigious strength and impactful arsenal. They reinforced all of these points brilliantly, while still selling how personal the story had grown for Killshot.

And, of course, there was Killshot's double-foot stomp off the ladder onto Marty and through the table to seal the deal. It was insane and beautiful, all at once.

While LU can go overboard with the plunder and hardcore shenaniganry, this match was the perfect mesh of storytelling and action.
