How amusing has Chris Jericho been in recent weeks? Comedy is never an easy thing to pull off in pro wrestling, but Y2J has been doing it with relative ease during his interactions with a variety of the roster members. “The List of Jericho” last week tipped the scales as the funniest thing he had done since placing greater emphasis on comedy earlier in the year, and this week continued the trend on “The Highlight Reel” with Kevin Owens, who himself is a natural comedian.

It is certainly not a surprise that Jericho has added legitimate humor to a product that often tries too hard to be humorous, only to fail. Some of the most hilarious segments in WWE lore have featured Y2J tickling our funny bones - during the Attitude Era in particular. So many other things on the show in those days, though, were entertaining, whereas today the product generally has adopted a more serious tone, allowing what Jericho has recently been doing to stand out to a greater extent.

“The Highlight Reel” was the most entertaining segment on WWE TV this week - but not to be confused with the most compelling.
