https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yS3jNSeGxQ Shark Boy's one of wrestling's most bizarre oddball characters, yet he seems to have a rather large cult following among the wrestling community. After sporadic appearances in the newly formed TNA and numerous other promotions, Shark Boy appeared in a dark match on Velocity, most probably a tryout match, on the 11th of March, 2003. Shark Boy seemed to be hugely over, straight off the bat. From the very start, fans were cheering 'Let's go Shark Boy', alongside 'Kanyon Sucks', with solid cheers every time Shark Boy seemed to regain momentum. If this is any indication, it's possible Shark Boy could have made it in the WWE as a comic relief character, as fans already seemed to connect with the character. The match went near-on ten minutes, with a few near falls and had a great crowd reaction considering dark matches are usually dead silent for the most part. After the match, presumably Shark Boy wasn't offered a developmental contract and it was just a one-off appearance. What a shame.
