In regards to the previous entry, there seems to be a prevailing thought among fans that due to his failed USADA test for a banned substance, the door is closed on a UFC return and Dana White and company would not be willing to welcome Brock Lesnar back for another fight with the MMA promotion. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Lesnar is one of the top three draws in the history of the sport, and one failed test isn't going to harm that. Jon Jones, Anderson Silva, and Nick Diaz all have their own failures to their name and yet they remain some of the most popular fighters in the entire business. Most MMA fans have short memories when it comes to things like failed tests, and are savvy enough to realize that a surprisingly large percentage of fighters are on some form of PEDs; they’re just not more adept at skirting around the testing.

While it is a sport, the UFC is first and foremost a business designed to make money, and that’s something the company is very good at. After all we’re talking about a $2 million investment that, fifteen years later sold for over $4 billion. That’s a pretty incredible ROI and you can bet the new ownership group wants to see that growth continue. The best way to do that is by booking the biggest fights possible with the most popular names, and Brock is as big as it gets.
