10 Negatives Heading Into WrestleMania 33
3. No Shaquille O’Neal
One match that we probably won’t be seeing this Sunday is one that involves Shaquille O’Neal.
That may sound like stating the obvious, give that Shaq isn’t a wrestler, after all. But for the better part of the last year, he’d been slated for a WrestleMania showdown with the Big Show in Orlando this weekend.
Now, it’s not like this match would have stolen the show, but it could have provided a celebrity cameo more bearable than an appearance from Pitbull or Flo Rida, while it would also have been a memorable swansong for Big Show in what will likely be his last WrestleMania before retirement.
Plus, Show’s done such an awesome job of getting himself in the shape of his life that it only seems right that he’d be rewarded with a match that would be bound to garner plenty of mainstream attention.
Instead, though, he’ll have to settle for a spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which isn’t necessarily the end of the world, but given that he’s already won the thing before, it feels like something of anti-climax.
