10 New Directions After WWE Extreme Rules 2022

2. Build For Survivor Series: WarGames

WWE's writers always try to look beyond the next supershow on the calendar these days. In fairness, they don't really have a lot of time to sit around twiddling their thumbs - filling a three hour Raw, two hour SmackDown and two hour NXT every single week cannot be easy, especially when there are so many pay-per-views on top of that.

This is why Survivor Series: WarGames build starts now. No, not after Crown Jewel on 5 November, now. The company only has three short weeks between those shows, so it's rather imperative they don't d*ck around obsessing over the Saudi special and forgetting about WarGames.

Fans need to know which teams are going up against each other ASAP. Will it be Judgment Day vs. Edge's crew? Will Imperium and The Brawling Brutes be involved? Do Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler put together an MMA-inspired super-team to battle WWE's regulars?

Survivor Series hype should begin ramping up from Monday's Raw onwards.
