10 New Directions For AEW After Revolution 2023

1. CM Punk?!

A lot of folks will laugh at this, but here goes.

MJF repeated the same line over and over towards the end of the main event on Sunday. "I'm the best in the world", he said. Then, right at the end, he shouted: "I'm the best wrestler in the world" right down the camera lens. Best in the world, huh? That sounds familiar.

Sure, Bryan Danielson and Chris Jericho have been known to call themselves that in the past too, but it's a line more closely-associated with CM Punk nowadays. Does...does Tony Khan have Punk lined up for for a comeback after everything that's happened? Do not rule it out.

Fanciful thought or not, this is pro wrestling. Anything goes in this crazy business, and it'd be special if Punk returned to AEW for a feud with The Elite (who are now belt-less) and then revisited Punk vs. MJF later in the year.

That business with Kenny Omega and The Bucks would have to be tied up first. There's money to make, lads.
