10 New Directions For AEW After Revolution 2024

1. Sting Taking On A New Role With AEW

Stinger said that he’s totally uninterested in becoming a manager or agent during the post-show press conference, so who knows what the future holds? However, the legend did admit that he and Tony Khan have been talking about what’s next for him. Surely there’s something Sting can offer.

He'd make a fine Commissioner or on-screen GM, for example.

Naturally, this all depends on how much travelling Sting wants to do at this stage in his life. He's ruled out managing someone regularly or putting together matches for others, but he'd be a fine authoritative voice on TV that fans would respect. The Stinger would also be 100x better on camera than Tony is.

AEW may be willing to lean on traditions and go down the Jack Tunney route here. Basically, Sting wouldn't be there every single week for Dynamite/Rampage/Collision, but he'd stop by for the most important stuff. Just an idea worth throwing out there following on from his comments during the presser.
