Tony can stick something else in his back pocket.

MJF's tag-team stuff can always resume once Adam Cole returns from injury, but the World Champ must wrestle solo in the interim. Handicap matches (like the one at WrestleDream vs. The Righteous) aren't sustainable. Also, there's a mini-feud vs. Jay White ready made.

Friedman has found success as an unlikely babyface. He's a jerk, but he's our jerk. That sort of thing. AEW will want to keep that rolling for as long as possible, and Khan will want to wrap up business with 'Better Than You, Bay Bay' when Cole is healthy again. That's cool, but keep MJF away from tags for now.

The champ is gold when working comedic scenarios against scrubs. That's clear following Sunday. However, he'd be best-deployed in a heated situation vs. Bullet Club Gold. Then, Cole can ride to the rescue and things can proceed from there when he's able.
