7. What Next For The Revival?

The Revival made history last night by becoming the first ever two-time NXT Tag Team Champions, defeating American Alpha in an absolutely fantastic match. AA were attacked after the match by the Authors of Pain, and one could assume that Gable & Jordan will subsequently be a little too preoccupied to try to regain their titles just yet.

So what does that mean for Dash and Dawson? What other teams are lurking in the division to challenge for their titles? Well, not a huge number it seems. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are one option. Another is the recently debuted TM-61 (formerly The Mighty Don't Kneel). Failing that, Zack Ryder could realise that he is more at home in NXT and the Hype Bros could irritate The Revival all summer long.

In truth, I expect the former Mechanics to merely wreck shop all summer, allowing American Alpha to work through the meat of their redemption story before huge showcase rubber match between the two teams.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
