6. A Heel Turn For Aries

As great as NXT has been for a while, one thing it has struggled with recently is a total lack of top heels. Sure, Samoa Joe sits on top as a nominal bad guy but he isn't a heel's heel, and crowds are just as likely to cheer him as boo him. In fact, you could argue that the three male singles matches at TakeOver: The End... were all face vs. face or face vs. tweener bouts.

Austin Aries came up short against Shinsuke Nakamura in a great match, and surely that must act as the catalyst for the Greatest Man That Ever Lived to turn heel and move to the next level. Aries has begun a slow turn in recent weeks by acting a little irritated with the international arrivals, and a heel turn for him would instantly put him near the top of the pile.

Maybe even a rekindling of his TNA alliance with Bobby Roode? We'll see, but Aries needs to turn heel and The End... should be the beginning of that turn.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
