10 New Directions For NXT Following TakeOver: The End...
5. Asuka Vs. Bayley II
The NXT women's division is looking pretty thin ahead of the summer. Asuka successfully defended her NXT Women's Championship against Nia Jax last night, eventually defeating the monster by booting her in the head four times in a row. Jax put in her most impressive performance to date, but it wasn't enough to stop the undefeated Joshi warrior.
Who else do we have in the division that could feasibly pose a threat to Asuka? Alexa Bliss could possibly win the title, but it would surely only happen in sneaky fashion in some multi-woman match. Carmella? Not quite. Liv Morgan, Peyton Royce, Billie Kay and the rest are still too new to put up a true fight against Asuka.
As such, Asuka vs. Bayley II is the only way to go ahead of TakeOver: Brooklyn. What's more, the story must end with Bayley finally defeated Asuka and ending her undefeated streak in the company, which by then would have stretched to almost an entire year.
