4. Trouble In Paradise For Slater And Rhyno
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but as great as this partnership between Heath Slater and Rhyno has been, something just seems a little fishy to me.
Beneath this latest feel-good, underdog tale, something doesn’t quite add up - and I’m not just talking about the varying number of kids that Slater claims to have!
Plus, Rhyno’s remained incredibly quiet since stepping up to the plate to help Slater in his quest for a SmackDown contract, to the point that we still don’t really have much in the way of an explanation as to why he suddenly softened on Slater and agreed to be his partner. Not only that, but in just a couple of weeks he went from GORE-ing the poor guy one to hanging out in his house and sharing cheese and crackers with his family.
To me, it all suggests that there could be more to the story than we see on the surface, and that we could be in store for some tribulations amidst the triumph of Slater and Rhyno. Furthermore, the fact that they’re now champions together, as well as the journey they’ve been on to get there, would make an eventual twist or, God forbid, an eventual demise, all the more emphatic should it come to fruition.
Fingers crossed I’m wildly and horribly wrong though.
