10 New Directions For WWE After Clash Of Champions 2016

After Charlotte emerged victorious at Clash of Champions, defeating Bayley and Sasha Banks in a Triple Threat match for the Raw Women’s Championship, it looks like we could be in line for a new rivalry at the top of the female division.

With Bayley taking the pinfall in that one, she can’t really be considered a major contender for Charlotte’s belt anymore, and while Sasha may have grounds for a rematch at some point, that’s a match that we’ve already seen over the course of the summer. Sasha may well get another shot shortly, but I wouldn’t expect it to be a lengthy feud.

So with a slightly more long-term outlook, could we be in line for a program between Charlotte and Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship?

A rather thin female division means that there aren’t too many other options for either woman, and with Nia continuing her winning streak at Clash of Champions it can only be a matter of time before she enters the championship conversation.

Personally I’d have thought this would be something to save for further down the line, but with the company seemingly intent on building towards an eventual Charlotte vs. Dana Brooke showdown, Nia Jax could find herself in the title spotlight rather sooner than anticipated.
