10 New Directions For WWE After Clash Of Champions 2016

3. Seth Rollins Vs. Chris Jericho

That being said, Chris Jericho may be otherwise engaged after his involvement in the main event of Clash of Champions, which ultimately contributed to Seth Rollins' defeat and likely ticked him off in the process.

Jericho emerged—in full Kevin Owens show attire—and placed his buddy’s foot on the ropes after Rollins had hit a Pedigree, before later entering the ring when the referee was down to lay a beating on his best friend’s opponent.

Now, obviously Rollins vs. Owens remains the headlining feud here, but that doesn’t mean that an aggrieved Rollins can’t go after Jericho in the short term in a bid to exact some revenge.

Admittedly this would most likely be a one-off match on Raw, because I can’t see them saving this one for the upcoming Hell in a Cell PPV. Furthermore, and tying into the point in the previous slide, a one-off Rollins vs. Jericho match would also facilitate a lengthier Reigns vs. Jericho feud for the United States title, meaning that between Owens, Jericho, Rollins and Reigns, that quartet could be taking care of plenty of WWE's Monday night programming for the coming weeks and months.
