10 New Directions For WWE After Clash Of Champions 2019
8. Roman Reigns In The WWE Title Mix
Beyond his revenge on Harper and Rowan, Roman Reigns will be back in the hunt for top prizes.
SmackDown's move to FOX on 4 October falls one week before WWE play Draft kings again and shuffle the pieces on their board. The smart money would be on Reigns remaining on the blue side of things, if only so he can launch a WWE Title tilt that'll present him as SmackDown's top babyface.
It's not hard to envision Roman blasting through Erick Rowan and Luke Harper, sending them limping back to the tag division in the process, and then setting his sights on championship gold. That's not something Roman has really done (for a variety of reasons) since joining SmackDown, and WWE may feel his time is coming.
Face it, there's no way Reigns isn't winning that WWE Title at some point between now and WrestleMania 36 next spring. This will be especially true if the first month or two of blue brand action on FOX tanks in the ratings. If things are rough, Vince will call on Roman.
