10 New Directions For WWE After Elimination Chamber 2023

7. WWE Doing Right By Rhea Ripley

Being brutally honest, Chamber was a missed opportunity for Rhea Ripley. Her team lost, and she wasn't exactly written to look like much of a match for returning legend Beth Phoenix throughout. The mixed tag was a real head-scratcher considering she's the only one of the four locked into a marquee match at WrestleMania right now.

Hmm.

Time for some good news: WWE can salvage this by doing the right things during Rhea's hype for a match vs. Charlotte Flair. Ideally, Flair would dispense with this idea she's a good babyface (she isn't) and go heel again. Then, Rhea can fit snugly into the default babyface role she'll end up playing at 'Mania anyway.

It's time to stop f*cking around and take Ripley all the way to the top. Putting her over a major name like Charlotte on a show as big as WrestleMania will do wonders for her. It'd also freshen up the women's scene on SmackDown.
