10 New Directions For WWE After Fastlane 2023

1. A WarGames Announcement

Triple H CM Punk WWE War Games

CM Punk's rumoured return refuses to stop making headlines, but he probably won't factor into whatever Triple H's announcement will be on next week's episode of SmackDown (at least not immediately). Jade Cargill's home brand is a possible talking point, but...what if it's 'The Game' revealing that WarGames will happen at Survivor Series again this year?

If so, go for it. Last year's match was incredible, and the famous gimmick bout definitely revived a flagging pay-per-view tradition. WarGames was also infinitely more interesting than any Raw vs. SmackDown brand warfare rubbish. That's too long in the tooth now.

Imagine Hunter announced WarGames, set up some Judgment Day/Bloodline mix vs. Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, John Cena, LA Knight and another mystery partner, then Punk debuts to fill the void in Chicago come November. Christ, that'd be huge.
