9. Gallows & Anderson Finally Win The Gold

It took them a grand total of eight attempts to pull it off, but Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are finally WWE Raw Tag Team Champions. The duo scored a big victory over Sheamus and Cesaro in last night’s dual-referee match, and while Anderson had to grab a handful of tights to secure the pinfall, The Club are finally at the top of the pile.

Their WWE run thus far has been a crash course in misuse. Having lost no fewer than six title matches to The New Day and with their characters often veering into schoolyard comedy territory, Anderson and Gallows’ credibility has fallen by the wayside. The past few weeks have seen them get serious and straighten their act up, but is anybody really invested in them at this point? Titles or no titles, they still have a lot of recovery work to be done.

The consequences of this title shot could be catastrophic for the losers too. Tensions flared afterwards, and Sheamus and Cesaro also engaged in a heated argument following their elimination from the Royal Rumble. After weeks of solidarity and togetherness, their old problemshave returned. Cesaro didn’t take too kindly to Sheamus trying to throw him out of the match, and it’s tough to tell if they’ll even be a team this time next week, let alone title contenders.

A big night for Raw’s tag division, and hopefully the continuation of Gallows & Anderson's rebuild.
