Triple H must've been chuckling when he posted a backstage pic of he and CM Punk pointing at one another on socials. 'The Game' cleverly captioned that photo with a quick quip about hell freezing over, and that's fitting. There were a lot of stunned faces when Punk returned at Survivor Series.

This is a guy who was battling behind the scenes with Jungle Boy mere months ago. Now, with just one month to go in 2023, he's traded AEW scuffles for WWE mega-matches. There's serious money on the table, and marquee clashes vs. everyone from Seth Rollins to Roman Reigns should do monster business.

2024 could be the year wrestling fans finally see Punk vs. Steve Austin too. Does that really sound too far-fetched at this point?! Austin wrestled Kevin Owens at 'Mania 38, for crying out loud. 'Stone Cold' would surely be creatively turned on by the prospect of working Punk in 2024.

CM Punk is back. Who can say for sure how long the honeymoon period will last before problems start behind the curtain, but let's enjoy this ride for now. Big time bouts are guaranteed.
