Over the last couple of weeks, Ricochet and Aleister Black have had three attempts to win tag team titles; one on Monday Night Raw, one at NXT TakeOver: New York, and one at WrestleMania.

Despite thrilling us with their offence and high-flying ability, they were unsuccessful on all three occasions and their opponents have all moved on. The Revival lost their titles to Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins, the War Raiders said an emotional farewell to the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2019 despite their phenomenal performance, and The Hardy Boyz are the new SmackDown tag champs after defeating The Usos on Tuesday.

Teaming Black & Ricochet for their soft launch on the main roster was a great way to introduce them to casual fans, allow them to settle in and rack up some much needed wins.

Nevertheless, now their championship challenges appear to be over, the Superstar Shake-Up is an ideal place to split the duo up and push them as the fantastically talented singles stars they clearly are. Both should be allowed to showcase their abilities in the Money in the Bank ladder match, but their time as a tag team is surely now over.
