OK, so this has to happen.

GUNTHER is closing in on 300 days as Intercontinental Champion. Honky Tonk Man went 454 days as champ in the 1980s, so WWE might as well keep going with the Imperium brute and shatter that record once and for all. No offence to Honky, but he was hardly the workhorse this "workhorse title" needs as record-setting champ.

This should be relatively easy to do anyway. Fans are nowhere near bored of GUNTHER as IC Champ, and he's consistently cranking out great matches aplenty whenever he's inside WWE rings. Keeping that title around his waist, and making sure Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci don't lose all steam as tag-team backup, sounds like a good plan.

GUNTHER made history as NXT UK Champion before, and he can do so again as Intercontinental main man. After all, who's really on the midcard who deserves to take it from him right now?
