10 New Finisher Possibilities For Roman Reigns' WWE Return

7. The Torture Rack

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1DgyezZS8Y If you were to categorize wrestling techniques, they can arguably be grouped into 4 different possibilities: power or €˜grapple€™ moves, striking attacks, diving moves, and submission holds. Though there are some exceptions to this rule, most WWE Superstars have a combination of two or more of these categories. Cena has the Attitude adjustment (Grapple) and STF (Submission), Daniel Bryan has the Yes Lock (Submission) and the Running Knee (Strike attack), etc. For Roman Reigns to become more unique, it would be a good idea for him to adopt a submission hold. However, there aren€™t many options that he can really choose from without potentially copying another Superstar. We already see WWE Superstar submission holds targeting the head (STF, Yes Lock), arms (Kimura Lock, Black Widow, PTO), legs (Patriot Lock, Figure-4 Leg Lock), and torso (Accolade). For Reigns to have something unique, the best choice would be to use the Torture Rack. It€™s a simple submission hold, where the user stretches his opponent€™s ribs while on the user€™s shoulders. The last person to use this move was Ezekiel Jackson in 2010 and 2011, but he has since departed the company. Reigns using this move would be a nice change because it would allow him to win via a different method; instead of having to pin his opponent, he could make them tap out. This strategy has worked in the past with both Brock Lesnar and John Cena. Cena started using the STFU in a submission match, whereas he didn€™t really have one beforehand. Lesnar debuted the Brock Lock in a match against noted submission specialist Chris Benoit, making him tap out with the move€™s first use. This strategy would work well for Roman Reigns. He just needs the right move, and the Torture Rack just might be the right choice.
