10 New Tag Teams WWE Needs To Create

3. Dolph Ziggler & Rusev

Ok, so the last time Dolph Ziggler and Rusev worked together on SmackDown in 2015 it was a complete disaster everyone would rather forget. That was then, this is now, and needs must. Both guys have watched on helplessly as others have passed them by in WWE, and that would be the basis for their new team.

If Ziggler approached Rusev cautiously, invited him to ditch Aiden English (that's going nowhere fast, let's be honest) and referenced their past, it'd be interesting. Should Rusev then admit he charts his fall back to feuding against Dolph and is keen to try his luck alongside him instead, then the story is off to the races.

Both have whinged in promos about management not treating them fairly. They'd be an 'odd couple' team, one without matching outfits or similar styles, but that has worked plenty of times in the past. Whilst it would not guarantee Ziggler and Rusev's success, at least they'd still have a story to tell fans can identify with.
