10 New WWE Directions After The 2020 Draft
5. US Championship: Hoss Division
Sticking with WWE's secondary championships, what now for Bobby Lashley and the United States title? Lashley has been in possession of the belt since winning it at Payback on 30 August, but the title has largely played second fiddle to the weekly ritual of The Hurt Business beating up Apollo Crews and Ricochet.
While Lashley and friends may not be finishing kicking the tar out of Ricochet, Crews has moved to SmackDown. This should mean a new direction for the title and for Big Bobby. RAW has acquired a whole heap of meaty men in the draft, and there has never been a better time to build a belt around a scene of majestic hosses.
Think about it; Braun Strowman, Keith Lee, Tucker, Sheamus, Dabba-Kato and T-Bar are just some of the big boys now plying their trade on RAW, and all could contribute to making the United States Championship something different, something entertaining.
Every now and then, WWE treats us to a match between two big dudes that doesn't bother with the technique and instead focuses on big dudes running into each other. If those matches can be for the US Championship, even better.
