10 New WWE Directions After The 2020 Draft
4. Establishing Bray & Alexa
Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss both moved to RAW in the draft and their partnership was further solidified with stereo-Sister Abigails, delivered to the departing Andrade and Zelina Vega. The emphasis there should be on 'stereo', as the timing of the two was absolutely tremendous. These are early days, but WWE could be onto something special with Bray and Bliss.
Now is the time to set about establishing just what their relationship is. We don't need The Fiend to be rushed into a feud with Drew McIntyre for the title, that can wait. Fans certainly don't need Wyatt to get stuck in a placeholder feud for the sake of it. His story, for the time being, can be Alexa, a situation that allows the acting chops of both to be accentuated while minimising the need for plodding matches and shenanigans.
As for Alexa, this could be the hard reset she needs after a quiet couple of years in the tag team division. The supernatural and psychological edge provided by Wyatt will give Bliss further credibility in a packed women's division, and it wouldn't be a shock to see her slowly make her way towards the main event in time for WrestleMania 37.
What price that show closing with a shower of red light as Bray and Alexa stand tall, titles in tow?
