10 Non-Wrestlers AEW Should Sign

5. Maria Menounos

Role: Interviewer

OK, so mad one, as a cursory bit of research reveals that Maria Menounos is still employed by WWE today. You may recall her as the special-guest ring announcer for the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble, as well as a few special guest appearances over the years, but by and large I'd assumed that her time with the company had ended when her feud with Beth Phoenix did. Not so, apparently, as she's currently working as an Ambassador for them.

Regardless though, Menounos' first skill is as an on-camera journalist and it's actually quite bizarre WWE have used her in that capacity so rarely. She's done some Hall of Fame red carpet stuff and a handful of interviews, but she's always presented as a guest. In AEW she could not only be the face of their backstage segments, but a recognisable crossover star for wrestling fans and outsiders alike.

At the end of the day, Menounos really, really likes wrestling and is one of America's most beloved TV hosts. That WWE have never quite combined these two facts is purely down to them, and it's a mistake AEW could easily profit form.
