10 Non-Wrestlers WWE Or AEW Should Sign

8. Alicia Atout

You can't beat a good backstage interviewer. Wrestling history is littered with them, from 'Mean' Gene Okerlund to Renee Young to Sean Mooney. It seems to be becoming something of a lost art as the sport is swamped with robots asking meaningless questions, but there will always be a place for a good interview person. Wrestling is theatre, and what is theatre without its connecting pieces?

Currently signed to MLW, Alicia Atout has carved herself out a niche as a charismatic and engaging interviewer, both in that aforementioned promotion and on her various online channels. A simple YouTube search throws up a whole host of interviews where Atout gets it so very right, asking meaningful questions and showing a true enthusiasm for the star of the show.

While WWE would likely turn her into yet another robot, Atout has the talent and ability to become a new Renee Young. That should be the first Alicia Atout, obviously, but comparisons in pro wrestling are impossible to avoid. Nobody is going to compare Alicia Atout with Sean Mooney, but the batons of wrestling are passed along some curious lines.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
